Essure Birth Control Injuries

Essure Permanent Birth Control is a form of birth control sold by Bayer. This contraceptive is intended to be nonreversible and is an alternative to other birth control procedures. The Essure procedure consists of flexible coils inserted into the fallopian tubes in order to prevent conception.

Large numbers of injuries have been reported to the FDA from the use of Essure implants. The injuries reported by these women include tubal and uterus puncturing, pain and bleeding, abdominal or pelvic device migration, unintended pregnancies, serious reactions from nickel allergies, and death.

On September 24, 2015 the FDA met to discuss the safety of the Essure birth control device. On February 29, 2016, the FDA required a new clinical study for Essure and recommenced labeling changes in order to address the risks associated with Essure.

The law firm of Schachter, Hendy & Johnson is pursuing Essure lawsuits against Bayer for the injuries and side effects that have resulted to women from the use of Essure Permanent Birth Control. Our firm has extensive experience representing people injured from defective products like Essure.

If you or a loved one has suffered tubal/uterus puncturing, bleeding, or other injuries from Essure, you have a right to know if this form of birth control is the cause. Our firm will fight to make sure that you are compensated for your medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering.
