West End Car Accident in Cincinnati Leaves Four Injured

A West End car accident in Cincinnati involving two vehicles leaves four people injured after a car runs a red light. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon, October 10, 2010, at the intersection of West Liberty Street and Linn Street.
According to Cincinnati police, a driver ran a red light at the intersection of West Liberty Street and Linn Street and slammed into another vehicle. The driver has been identified as Julie Hobbs, 28, of Springfield Township.
The force of the impact sent Hobb’s vehicle into a utility police before it landed upside down in some nearby shrubs. Hobbs was not seriously injured in the wreck.
There were three people in the second car. The driver, Lorna, 42, of the West End, and two other passengers were transported by rescue crews to University Hospital where they were treated for injuries sustained in the accident. Police indicate that their injuries were not considered to be serious.
Police cited Hobbs for failure to obey a red light and a seatbelt violation. She also is alleged to have been driving under suspension.
The West End two-vehicle wreck is still under investigation by local authorities.
This is an unfortunate incident and we wish all the victims a quick recovery during this difficult time.
