Three Die in Wolfe County Motorcycle and Truck Accident

According to Kentucky State Police, three people were killed when a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided. The crash, which took place in Wolfe County, involved two men and a woman. The two men apparently died early that morning at the scene while the female victim died later in the day.
The Wolfe County accident took place at approximately 12:00 AM on Monday morning, September 14, 2009. Police were alerted of the crash at approximately 12:15 AM that morning.
The accident took place on KY 15 at Myrtle Little Hollow Road where Jason C. Patrick, 36, of Campton and Kenneth R. Pierson, 29, of Stanton died due to wounds sustained from the wreck. The female victim, Ronda Ann Bush, 20, of Campton, died later that afternoon at University of Kentucky Hospital.
According to police, Pierson, with Bush as a passenger, were riding on a 2007 Yamaha motorcycle traveling north on KY 15. The collision occurred when Patrick, who was driving a 1994 Toyota pickup truck, turned onto the highway from Myrtle Little Hollow Road.
The motorcycle apparently collided with the truck, striking the driver’s side door. Upon impact, both Pierson and Bush were both thrown from the motorcycle. According to Coroner Frank Porter, both Pierson and Patrick were pronounced dead at the scene due to severe head trauma. Bush was rushed to University of Kentucky Hospital where she later died due to injuries.
