Police Chase in Cincinnati Results in Multi-Vehicle Accident

A Cincinnati police chase in Corrysville ends in a multi-vehicle crash. The incident took place at approximately 9:45 PM on Tuesday evening, November 10, 2009 near the Vernon Manor Hotel.
According to Cincinnati Police Sgt. Danita Kilgore, the incident began when the Cincinnati Vortex Units were investigating drug activity in Coryville. In an attempt to stop a vehicle, three suspects ignored police by getting into a car and fleeing the scene.
The driver of the fleeing car drove into an intersection striking another car causing that vehicle to spin and slam into two other parked cars.
Rescue workers transported the driver of the second car to University Hospital and treated the victim for a head injury. The injuries were not considered life-threatening.
One of the suspects in the fleeing car suffered a punctured lung and was also taken to University Hospital. The suspect’s injuries were also not considered life-threatening.
Police have not released any of the names of those involved in the incident.
The driver of the fleeing car was apprehended by police as the suspect attempted to evade police by foot. According to Kilgore, at least two of the suspects could face criminal charges.
The Cincinnati incident is still under investigation by local authorities.
