Car accidents are one of the leading causes of accidental death or injury in Kentucky. In 2016 there were 561 deaths reported on Kentucky highways by Kentucky State PoliceIf you or a loved one are involved in a fatal or catastrophic vehicle collision it is imperative that you quickly retain legal counsel to represent you.

This disturbing trend of highway fatalities in Kentucky continued on September 11th, 2017, when the family of Diana and Daniel Hendricks were involved in a fatal collision. As they were exiting Kenton station, to turn Northbound on Alexandria Pike, they were slammed with a very large U-Haul truck that ended their lives instantly according to a news report at local 12 News This was surely a shock to the family and left them confused, heartbroken, and angry towards the person that put an end to their loved ones' lives. It's almost unimaginable to put yourself in their families' shoes right now, but unfortunately, this type of thing happens all the time in the state of Kentucky.

According to a recent poll taken by the Kentucky State Police Department, roughly 503 people have lost their lives in fatal car accidents to date in 2017. This is just 50 shy of the whopping 550 deaths in 2016. That's not including personal injury reports in the recent year that stated there were almost 24,000 individuals harmed in similar accidents. Most of these incidents happen due to a negligence such as texting while driving; being intoxicated; fatigue; or just purely not paying attention.
