Man Killed in Carroll County, Kentucky Car Accident

A man was killed and his wife injured in an early morning car accident in Carroll County.  According to Kentucky State Police, the tragic auto accident took place on Interstate 71 south near Campbellsburg at approximately 12:45 AM.

Jessica Isaacs, a 23-year-old Franklin, Ohio resident, was driving a vehicle that left the interstate and flipped.  Her car then traveled into the northbound lanes and hit the guardrail.  Michael Isaacs, a 24-year-old man, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.  He had been riding in the front passenger seat.

Michael was taken to the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton where he was pronounced dead.  Jessica was also transported to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.  She had been wearing her seat belt.

The couple’s child was riding in a child safety seat in the rear passenger seat of the vehicle and was not injured in the crash.
