Louisville Car Accident Sends One to Local Hospital

A Louisville car accident involving two cars and a semi truck sends one person to a local hospital. The incident took place at approximately 7:00 AM on Thursday morning, September 9, 2010, on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway overpass on State Highway 50.
According to reports, Heidi Novotny, 51, of Louisville, was traveling northbound on Highway 50 when she had to veer from a semi truck traveling southbound. Witnesses report that the truck was over the center line forcing Novotny into the bridge’s guardrail.
A second car, driven by Glenda Steinman, 53, of Nebraska City, then stuck Novotny’s vehicle. Both drivers refused medical treatment at the scene of the crash.
However, rescue crews transported a passenger in Novotny’s car, Nikki Ball, 31, of Manley, to a local hospital. She was reported as being four months pregnant and complained of neck and back pain.
The driver of the semi truck apparently did not stop and was eventually located south of Louisville on Highway 50. The driver has been identified as James Beck, 48, of West Bend.
The Louisville auto accident is still under investigation. According to police, charges are pending.
This is a terrible accident and we wish the victims a fast recovery during the difficult time.
