Ten Factors That Can Lead to a Serious Kentucky Truck Accident
A Louisville auto accident involving two vehicles that collided head-on claims the lives of two people. The incident took place at approximately 6:00 AM on Wednesday morning, July 13, 2010, at the Outer Loop and Grade Lane near Fairdale.
According to Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, an unidentified woman driving a red Mitsubishi Mirage heading northbound on Grade Lane crossed over into the southbound lane and struck a BMW head-on. The driver of the BMW and a passenger riding in the Mitsubishi were both pronounced dead at the scene. Both were male.
The driver of the Mitsubishi was the only survivor in the wreck. Her condition was not immediately made known.
“It’s a very horrific accident for the simple fact that two lives were lost,” Mitchell said.
Police have not yet determined why the female driver swerved into oncoming traffic.
“We haven’t ruled out any factors at this point,” said Mitchell. “We’re still in the early stages of this investigation.”
The fatal Louisville car accident is still under investigation by local authorities.
This is a terrible tragedy and we extend our thoughts and condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives during this difficult time.
