Louisville Accident Involving TARC Mini Bus Injures Three

A Louisville accident involving two vehicles and a TARC mini-bus leaves three inured in the multi-vehicle wreck. The incident took place at approximately 10:00 AM on Sunday morning, January 3, 2010 in the downtown Louisville area.

According to police spokesperson Alicia Smiley, the incident occurred at the intersection of Broadway and Seventh when two unidentified male drivers, one driving a maroon Cadillac sedan and the other driving a dark blue pickup truck, were traveling westbound on Broadway.  Both drivers indicated that were driving though the intersection with a green light when a white TARC mini-bus, heading northbound on Seventh, ran the light and slammed into both vehicles.

Rescue crews transported two children who were riding in one of the cars and a passenger in the mini-bus to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the wreck. The injuries have been described as non-life threatening.

Rescue crews treated the driver of the pickup truck at the scene for cuts. According to Smiley, the driver refused further treatment.

Police have not released the identities of those involved in the multi-vehicle accident.

The Louisville accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Police have not released any additional information about the accident.
