Lexington Car Accident Kills Two

A Lexington car accident involving two vehicles, including a pickup truck hauling a trailer, ends in the death of two people and injures one other. The incident took place at approximately 9:00 AM on Saturday morning, November 14, 2009 in Rowan County.
According to Kentucky State Police, a Ford pickup truck driven by Johnny B. Blevins, 56, of Grayson, hauling a trailer with a bull inside, lost control after it got a flat tire. The truck was traveling westbound on Interstate 64 near the 145 mile marker when the blown tire caused the truck to swerve into the other lane and colliding with a 2005 Dodge Neon, driven by Charles Ison, 29, of Grayson. The impact caused both vehicles to flip over in the median.
Blevins and his passenger, Devin Wayne Campbell, 21, of Lexington, were both ejected from their vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Ison was originally transported by rescue workers to St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead. He was later airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. His condition is unknown.
The fatal incident is still under investigation by Kentucky State Police. However, reports indicate that none of the victims were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
