Endocrine Society Warns Physicians About AndroGel

In light of studies finding an association between testosterone medications and cardiovacscular risks, including blood clots, the Endocrine Society recently advised clinicians that they need to take steps in addition to those recommended by manufacturers of testosterone drugs, like AndroGel, Axiron, Fortesta and Depo-testosterone. The Endocrine Society has recommended that all physicians prescribing AndroGel and other testosterone medications need to have an in depth benefit-to-risk discussion with patients (especially those with pre-existing heart disease) concerning the risks of heart attack, stroke and blood clot; prescribe the drug appropriately; and monitor therapy to optimize testosterone dose and minimize risk.

If you or a loved one had a stroke, pulmonary embolism, heart attack or blood clot while taking AndroGel or another tesosterone medication, please call our experienced AndroGel attorneys at (888) 606-5297 for a free consultation about your potential AndroGel lawsuit.
