Crash Near Mt. Washington Kills One and Injures FourPosted on Oct 27, 2009
The four-vehicle crash happened in the Mount Washington area on Bardstown Road leaving one man dead and another in serious condition. According to Kentucky State Police, the driver, Kevin Sullivan, 22, was traveling the wrong way on Bardstown Road where police say that he collided with two other vehicles. This caused another driver to crash into the three other vehicles already involved in the incident.
Sullivan suffered serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
Michael Workman, 22, was also injured in the North Kentucky car accident. He was also transported by rescue crews to University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Both men had to be stat-flighted to the hospital.
The identities of the other two victims were not made available. There were no other injuries reported by officials.
According to Kentucky State Police, alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor in the four-vehicle Mount Washington accident.
The incident is still under investigation by local authorities as they try to determine why Sullivan was traveling the wrong way on the Kentucky road.
