Cincinnati Auto Accident Leaves Two Injured

A Cincinnati auto accident involving four vehicles leaves two people injured and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) dangling off a bridge over the Ohio River. The incident took place at approximately 3:00 on Wednesday afternoon, May 11, 2011, along Interstate 275.
According to reports, the incident began when a ladder fell off a Dodge pickup truck traveling in the northbound lanes of Interstate 275, just before Kellogg Avenue. Two vehicles, including a Ford Explorer, stopped for the ladder. Unfortunately, a fourth vehicle wasn't able to stop in time and slammed into a car, which was pushed forward into the Ford Explorer.
The force of the impact caused the SUV to spin slightly and left it hanging over the Combs-Hehl Bridge. The crash left two people with minor injuries. One victim suffered a broken ankle.
The driver of the Dodge, which lost the ladder, reportedly fled the accident scene. Police are still searching for the driver.
The Cincinnati auto accident is still under investigation by local authorities. Anyone with information about the Dodge and its driver has been asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-2040 or Cincinnati Traffic Unit at (513) 352-2514.
