How do I know if a cochlear implant is failing?

The failure of a cochlear implant can lead to a number of different signs and symptoms, including, but not limited to,:

  • loss of sound
  • discomfort or pain
  • intermittent functioning
  • sudden loud noises or popping
  • children crying or unwilling to use headphones

These are just some but not all of the symptoms that can occur when a cochlear implant is failing. If you think your implant may be failing, we recommend talking to your doctor.

If you or a loved one had a Cochlear Nucleus ci512 implant fail, we recommend calling our experienced cochlear implant attorneys for a free consultation about your potential cochlear implant lawsuit. We have successfully represented many other families whose cochlear implants failed.
