Study Links Testosterone Replacement Therapy With Heart Disease

Comments (0)

A recent study linking testosterone replacement therapy with a 29% increase in the risk of heart attack, stroke and death has been heavily reported in the last week. Doctors discussing the results of the study have almost univesally cautioned that in light of these serious risks, the use of testosterone therapy drugs and supplements needs to be re-evaluated. "These findings raise concerns about the potential safety of testosterone therapy," the authors wrote in the study. "Future studies including randomized controlled trials are needed to properly characterize the potential risks of testosterone therapy in men with comorbidities."

If you or a loved one have suffered a heart attack, stroke or death following the use of testosterone therapy drugs or supplements, please call our office for a free consultation.
