Study Finds Pradaxa Causes More Injuries Than Warfarin

The early results of a recent study entitled Dabigatran Use in the Real World indicate that Pradaxa causes more injuries than warfarin, another blood thinner. Dr. Mark Wurster and his colleagues followed 113 patients who switched from warfarin to Pradaxa. They report that fewer than 1% of patients experienced an adverse event while they were taking warfarin. By contrast, 11.5% of patients on Pradaxa suffered death or injury, including internal bleeding.

These study results reinforce the experience of many users of Pradaxa who have died or suffered significant injuries, including strokes and severe bleeding, after taking the drug. If you or a loved one have suffered an injury after taking Pradaxa, you may have a legal claim. Please call our office at (888) 606-5297 for a free consultation and evaluation with one of our experienced Pradaxa attorneys.
