i had been wearing toneups for over a yr. had several pairs. I fell and fractured my tibia. left ankle. November 12, 2011. needed surgery and a plate with screws were put in. i continue to have pain and swelling. i had an mri last week. so stress fractures thankfully. this has been devastating and frustrating.

I bought my sketchers over a year ago and stopped using them. I wore them for 15 minutes the other day. Within a few hours a horrible pain went through my right knee and I havent been able to bear weight in two days. I have an ortho appt in a few days and an xray. I told my husband that I first experienced pain with the sketchers and thats why I stopped wearing them, I thought it was from changing how I walked. I then told him how I wore them briefly the other morning and this injury resulted,he told me he just saw on the news alot of people are being injured!

Susan: Thanks for sharing your experience. We have been contacted by more than a hundred people who have been injured by these shoes. Our firm filed the first case against Skechers in which a person was injured by the shoes. In that case the woman suffered stress fractures in both of her hips.

I purchased the skecher pink for myself, wore them like it said too for 15-20 intervals to begin with. wore them off and on 1 week. returned them. had both knee's in pain. even with ice and rest. seen family dr. x-ray, mri show's slight tear in minuscus and torn cartliage. terrible stiffness still.

I am reporting an injury and hope to hear back from someone. These shoes are not for everyone!!!
